Kim and the kids on the Britannia.
The daily rum cask for the officers. God Bless Her!
Looking out the porthole.

The next day at the unfinished National Monument which was designed to show Edinburgh as the Athens of the North. In the 1800's the locals called it the National Embarassment. However, it's pretty cool, especially as its way up on the top of a hill. Makes for a cool end to a hike!
This statue looks a little like Isaiah!
We visited an old graveyard and found some interesting headstones, lots of graves from the 16 and 1700s, and even a homeless person sleeping in a crypt (at least I think he was sleeping...).
The blackened Scott Monument, built to honour Sir Walter Scott after his death. It's very tall, and Sophie, Isaiah and I climbed the 360 stairs to the top. The winding staircase was VERY narrow by the top, but led to some amazing views of the city.

I'm off to see the Pogues tomorrow night in Seattle. They are doing their yearly Christmas UK tour as well as their brief North American tour - December 10 in Glasgow. You better be going.
